The Japanese Society for Zooarchaeology is made up of members who are interested in the history of the relationship between humans and animals. However, our members’ research covers a wide range of regions and eras, and their research methods also vary. In this corner, we will introduce the content of the research carried out by each of our members, from young members who could be called the Hidden Jewels of our society, to experienced veterans, as well as gleanings from their research. We hope that you can get a glimpse of the appeal of zooarchaeology through the introductions to cutting-edge research and casual essays.
